Robert grew up in Oregon and North Florida, then left good weather behind to study engineering high above Cayuga's waters. Much humbled by the experience, he then spent a memorable year in Oklahoma working for a French oil company, wasted some time in Atlanta, and finally settled in Silicon Valley.
