When T came this morning, we talked about how much to buy for trim and molding (buy 15% excess). We also discussed the floor: after Floorguy lays down the hardwood floor, the floor needs to rest or something for two weeks. Afterwards, we can install the baseboard. Would the crew be able to accomodate a two week delay? Sure, said T--we keep M free for exactly this sort of thing. I found this flexibility very comforting and impressive--even if it turns out to be mere lip service.
Today the crew put primer on the closet and bathroom walls. What a difference!

I started measuring out the amount of trim and molding we will need, and discovered something: The door casings (the vertical trim to either side of the door) are 4.5" wide.
Uh oh, I think the light switches are too close to the door openings!
