On a recent trip, I cataloged a few of the billboard proclamations of faith in jeezus around my hometown of Gainesville, FL:
- Choose Life! Aren't you glad your mama did?
- God Heals Hurting Marriages. There's Hope!
- There Is Life Before Birth
- Jeezus Loves and Forgives You
- Life Begins at Conception
- May I Have This Dance? -Jesus (my favorite)
And so on. These billboards are certainly easier on the eyes than those nasty Cafe Risque billboards. Damn!
Who are They trying to convince? Everybody in the area is already Christian; to judge from the number of churches in town, you'd think that there's at least one pastor for every denizen of Hogtown.
